African Paralympic Committee
Who We Are
The African Paralympic Committee (APC) as a regional organization is the governing body of the Paralympic Movement on the African continent and also responsible for para sports or sports for persons with impairment in Africa. The APC is composed of 48 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) across Africa as members recognized by the IPC presently either in good standing or under suspension. The APC is further grouped into Seven (7) administrative zones / regions notably: West Africa Zone A, West Africa Zone B, East Africa Zone A, East Africa Zone B, Central Africa Zone, North Africa Zone and South Africa Zone. The APC conducts its business including the General Assembly in four official languages: Arabic, English, French and Portuguese. The constitution is the supreme law that governs and guides operations of the APC and its members (NPCs). The APC is presently, headquartered in Accra-Ghana. Mr. Samson Deen is the current President of the APC, elected at the General Assembly in Rabat, Morocco on the 3st October, 2021.
